This High Quality Clothing Brand Offers Activewear That Gives Back

One of the things I feel so grateful for is my commitment to exercise. I’m fortunate to have the motivation to fit in a sweat session every day. From a HIIT class with weights to a surf to a long tennis match, and my very first love, yoga, I feel like my best self after completing an intense workout. I’m equally as grateful to be living in a time when activewear is thriving. Combining fashion with function, there are a plethora of brands dedicated to making you look good while you push your body to its limits. Soulgani Activewear is one of those brands, and then some.

When I found out Soulgani Activewear was based in Tampa Bay, Florida, memories came flooding back. I spent my college years (2007-2011) traipsing around that city, running Bayshore Drive during the most humid of days and the most intense of downpours.

I tried out the very few yoga studios that were available at the time, played around on the University of Tampa’s tennis courts, and tried every single fitness class available (even Zumba, which I was horrific at), at the school’s McNiff Fitness Center.

I took donation-based yoga classes in the brand new park in downtown, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, I did ab and butt workouts in Plant Park, and I took long walks around Davis Island, admiring the gorgeous homes and their lush lawns.

But the activewear then was nowhere near where it needed to be. Honestly, I was still rocking my old club soccer shorts and worn out Nike sports bras with the big swish across the chest. And I’m pretty sure my source of music during runs came from my iPod Nano. My oh my am I glad things have changed.

Soulgani, which means ‘abundance of soul,’ speaks to me. I feel the most abundant during and immediately following exercise. I am full of endorphins, gratitude for my health, and positivity for what lays ahead (because everything is gravy after a workout, am I right?!)

Each collection created by Soulgani Activewear has a unique story and photograph that inspired it, whether from photos taken during travel, or based on natural surroundings. With a mission of “Do Good. Be Good” the brand gives back with each sale providing 10 percent of net proceeds to the town, city or village of inspiration.

My set provides 10 meals to the NYC Foodbank, 10 meals to Feeding Tampa Bay, and 20 meals to the COVID-19 Relief Fund. Along with its philanthropic focus, the quality of the product is incredible.

I’m wearing the Soft Compression Black Bra Crop in medium, and the Sexy Soul Mesh Legging in medium.

My set is made from the brand’s luxe line of fabric which has soft compression, a lot of stretch and great recovery for max comfort. An added bonus is that the fabric wicks the sweat! It feels like a second-skin, while keeping me dry during some of my toughest workouts. And truthfully, I can use all the moisture-wicking I can get, because I sweat easily!
