Why Soulgani Activewear Is One of My Favorite Brands to Work Out In

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how important exercise is to me. I grew up in a family that prioritized it, and so it’s been ingrained in me to be active. My home gym has become something of an obsession of mine. Between my spin bike, nesting dumbbells, boxing setup, jump rope, ankle weights, resistance bands and more, I love finding new equipment to keep me motivated and inspired. Activewear is also a biggie.

Just like it’s hard for me to feel focused to get to work without getting dressed, making the bed and cleaning up the house, there’s a little less pep in my exercise step if I’m not loving what I’m wearing. When I come across a high quality activewear brand, I just have to get the word out. Soulgani is one of those brands.

I came across Soulgani last year, and was thrilled to find out the brand is based in my college city of Tampa, Florida. When I found out the brand also gives back to the community, I was even more enticed. And by the time I tried on an activewear set, I knew this brand was too good to keep to myself.

I feel my most powerful (and put together) in a matching activewear set. But it has to work. The fabric has to be soft but tight. The leggings have to stay up on their own. The bra needs to provide support without cutting off circulation. Soulgani comes in clutch with all of the above.

I understand why brands like Lululemon have gained the recognition they have. Not just any activewear set will do when you need something that’s comfortable enough to wear as athleisure, but high quality enough to withstand the movement and sweat of intense workouts. While I’ve tried out activewear brands that just don’t stand up to the big brands, Soulgani deserves a spot on the list of the best brands. It’s certainly among the top I’d personally recommend.

My new set, the Twin Camo Legging and Camo Bra Top, is one of the latest designs from Soulgani’s capsule collection with Kelly Bensimon. It’s also part of the urban warrior collection that’s inspired by graffiti from the streets of NYC.

Every Twin Soul Camo Legging donates 10 meals to New Yorkers in need in partnership with the Food Bank NYC, and every Camo Bra donates 10 meals to New Yorkers in need in partnership with the Food Bank NYC.

I tried my new set out for a boxing workout, and loved how well it allowed me to move while wicking away sweat.
